We now have a permanent full-time position for an experienced Technician based in Sydney (Pyrmont).

Role: Sr Technician

Working as part of the Technology team, the Sr Technician will provide IT and systems support to all departments within the station. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of equipment, from studio cameras and standard IT infrastructure to customised applications, servers, and SAN storage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical support and maintenance of Broadcast and IT equipment
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to ensure minimal downtime and optimal reliability of systems
- Provide professional support and guidance to end users and clients
- Document systems and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications in IT or Systems Engineering with experience in:

- Linux OS and scripting
- Windows Systems Administration
- Network Administration and Support
- Hardware troubleshooting

Additional advantageous experience includes:

- Post-production systems
- Broadcast graphics equipment
- Media Asset management systems
- SQL or Oracle databases

Skills and Attributes:

- Ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations
- Operate professionally and courteously
- Effective communication skills
- Quick and accurate problem-solving abilities
- Interest in keeping up with rapid technological developments in Broadcast and IT industries

Note: This position involves a rotating shift roster, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.
