About this job

The Haematology Department at Randwick is seeking an experienced laboratory and clinical Haematologist to join the team at POWH. Highly desirable skills and experience include higher qualifications in a related field (PhD or MD equivalent), current clinical and/or laboratory research (or recent experience), and a strong current laboratory focus in haematology laboratory practice other than genomics (for example transfusion or flow cytometry).

What you'll be doing

- The Staff Specialist will provide high quality diagnostic, consultative, procedural and on-call specialty services in Laboratory Haematology and Clinical Haematology, and will participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities commensurate with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

- The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and, where required, the encouragement of an academic environment which supports research and development.
