Electrical Vocational Trainer - VET in Schools

At the Australian Trade Training College, we believe trades are the backbone of our society and we’re on a mission to empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their trade careers. Due to recent growth, we are in need of engaging, motivating Trainers to continue the great work in developing our future leaders in trade. As the demand for Industry Apprentices continues to grow, opportunities within Australian Trade Training College are abound.

If you enjoy a diverse role working with students looking to start their career in Electrotechnology, this could be the role for you Join a collaborative team of trainers who will provide a great support network whilst working independently to inspire and grow our students. Whether you are a qualified Trainer, or an Electrical Tradesperson looking to take a leap into training and support Students on their Electrical career path, we’ll support you to complete your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and mentor you to become a Trainer.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

- Deliver training and assessment in the UEE22020 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)

- Develop effective working relationships with Students and Schools

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of RTO programs

- Monitor training and ensure timely progression of Students through the course

- Maintain a high level of compliance

What you will bring

- RTO training experience and Trade qualification/s in Electrotechnology

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

- Ability to engage, inspire and support Apprentices throughout their learning

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Reasonable level of computer skills

Successful applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. A current Working with Children Blue Card and National Police Check is required and can be arranged for the suitable candidate.
