About the role
As a Ranger, you will deliver in park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader to enable efficient and effective delivery at a district level in accordance with the Regional Action Plan. You will be accountable for the delivery of on the ground works including, but not limited to project management, natural and built asset maintenance and visitor services.
You will be offered training, learning and development opportunities to deliver a level of environmental and service expertise, as well as be supported by Parks Victoria to obtain any qualifications and tickets required to undertake specific tasks and roles. You will be required to work rostered weekends where you are remunerated through the payment of a Rostered Weekend Allowance (annual allowance of your substantive base salary).
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven project management skills and capabilites
- Practical skills and experience in the maintenance and operation equipment and tools for asset and land management activities
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
