About the opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Biomedicine, in the Tasmanian School of Medicine. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the delivery and coordination of biomedical teaching across the Bachelor of Biomedicine and Bachelor of Medical Science & Doctor of Medicine programs.

What you’ll do:

- Undertake contemporary scholarly teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
- Coordinate units and develop distinctive, strategically aligned unit content and assessment.
- Demonstrate a scholarly approach to teaching and curriculum development.
- Develop research and scholarship of national and increasingly of international standing.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links.

What we’re looking for:

- A PhD or equivalent in a discipline relevant to biomedical science.
- Proven capabilities in higher education learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake unit coordination roles and curriculum development.
- A good record in, and continuing commitment to, research of biomedical education or discipline specific research.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B or Academic Level C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $157,330 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $157,330 plus 17% superannuation.
