Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday every second week

Looking for a role that lets you pick up extra hours, gain valuable healthcare experience, and develop new skills while knowing your schedule in advance? Join our dedicated team as a Telephonist and become the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Your New Role

- Managing the main hospital phone line, answering calls, and directing enquiries to the appropriate wards

- Assisting patients and carers with admissions, discharges, and general enquiries

- Entering patient details accurately into hospital systems

- Processing payments and transactions, including for overseas visitors

- Following up with health funds and collating required documentation

- Performing general administrative duties such as filing, documentation, and other clerical tasks

About You

You bring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite, friendly, and professional approach to every interaction.

You're a team player with a willingness to learn, able to multitask and solve problems efficiently, and handle sensitive or challenging conversations with empathy and discretion. A proactive, driven self-starter, you can work independently, take initiative, and contribute positively to the team.

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
