The Gallery Assistant will work as part of the team at the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre. The role will provide a high level of customer service to key stakeholders, engage in the design and installation of exhibitions, and assist in the management of Collections in the delivery of quality gallery programs. Key Responsibilities - Facilitate administrative and retail services, providing a high standard of customer service to diverse audiences both internal and external. - Provide accurate receipting of cash, cheque, and EFTPOS payments. - Contribute to the delivery of public programs including gallery events, artist workshops, gallery floor talks and tours, and educational visits. - Operate as part of a curatorial team in the design and installation of exhibitions, whilst working with a high level of independence within the team as required. - Assist in the management of incoming and outgoing exhibitions, including condition reporting and the preparation of works for dispatch. - Assist in the management of Collections, including cataloging works, database maintenance and supporting valuations, coupled with utilising the Collection database to locate and return works to and from storage. - Certificate IV in Arts Administration, Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated experience. - Current Working with Children Check. - Current NSW Class C Driver’s License.
