Your tasks and core responsibilities
As part of a growing multidisciplinary project team, you will take on tasks such as:
Project Management of renewable projects:
- Working on portfolio of onshore wind and hybrid projects in Australia and globally, delivering different services along the entire project lifecycle
- Managing and supporting diverse technical and commercial advisory services, ranging from owners engineering from early stage up to construction and O&M, feasibility and desktop studies and strategic advisory
- Developing practical solutions to multifaceted problems
- Managing complex, multidisciplinary projects and communicating with clients in onshore wind / hybrid projects
- Supporting our Clients to successfully deliver offshore wind projects in Australia and globally
- Being involved in technical spearhead topics (design and engineering related) and working on improvements applicable to the Australian market
- Contract management on behalf of client and internally
- Supporting and leading various Business Development and tender activities
- Good knowledge of Ramboll’s vast range of services to present to clients
- Using internal expertise and knowledge to deliver and lead successful and diverse projects to client satisfaction
- Identify partners and contractors to complement our offering; identify candidates to develop a larger wind onshore team in Australia
- Reporting to the Head of Wind for Australia
- A minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in engineering / project management in a professional environment related to onshore renewable energies (Wind, Solar, BESS) energy
- Proven track record of projects, industry reputation and network in Australia
- Experience in developing and managing a team in Australia
- Has been part of a project team for a recently executed onshore wind project in some capacity
- Profound industry knowledge and understanding of onshore renewable project development and execution and interfaces management, design and engineering, project economics, risks and commercial aspects
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Standards, supply chain, grid and construction challenges
- Basic technical expertise in all core areas of an onshore wind farm / solar / BESS, specialization / subject matter expertise as applicable
- Experience in negotiating and executing complex construction contracts (EPCI and BoP) would be beneficial
- Flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day work, proactive in proposing innovative and optimized solutions to Ramboll standards
- Ability to identify resource needs on projects and develop a strong local team
