About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a love for creating high-quality meals, this role is for you. You’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious dishes, working closely with the Head Chef to develop exciting menu items, and maintaining high kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, from pub classics to premium seafood and steaks.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
Ensure all food preparation and cooking is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies.
Lead, guide, and train kitchen team members, including cooks, wait staff, and kitchen hands.
Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest requests and special dietary requirements.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Strong team player with leadership and training abilities.
A passion for delivering delicious, high-quality meals and enhancing the dining experience.
