About your opportunity

The Coordinator Scenic Rim leads daily operations of water treatment plants, dams, weirs, catchments, and recreation areas to ensure compliance with Seqwater standards and regulations. The role manages natural assets in the southern region, drives team performance, supports continuous improvement, and liaises with diverse stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery. This multi discipline role is one of the most complex and challenging across the Seqwater regions.

This role is responsible for:

- Manage and maintain designated recreation areas in alignment with strategic and operational plans

- Monitor public activity across Seqwater land and water to safeguard water quality, safety, and assets

- Coordinate day labour and contractors for efficient maintenance delivery

- Oversee contracted services, ensuring policy compliance

- Advise on asset management strategies for built and natural assets

- Supervise fish stocking programmes as needed

- Procure materials and services in line with procurement policies

- Prepare and manage maintenance contracts for plant and equipment

- Support sustainable biosecurity and pest management practices

- Ensure dam operations, water treatment, and asset management are compliant and aligned with organisational standards

- Adhere to all Seqwater safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

- Perform additional duties as assigned

- Uphold behavioural standards outlined in Seqwater’s Code of Conduct and policies

Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible. Each application will be considered on its merits.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Relevant qualifications in Water Industry Operations – Dams and or Water Treatment (e.g. Certificate III, IV, Diploma, or equivalent experience)

- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising water treatment and/or dam operations

- Strong knowledge of dams, weirs, bores, water flow principles, and asset management systems

- Understanding of SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation, and flood/dam safety systems

- Understanding of ADWG, DWQMP, HACCP, and environmental regulations

- Experience with regulatory reporting and stakeholder engagement

This position has a competitive salary range, plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
