Overview

Milestones Early Learning Torquay welcome an Early Childhood Lead Educator to join our professional, supportive team of educators. Your role encompasses a range of responsibilities that align well with being a team player, contributing creative ideas to daily programming, supporting children with challenging behaviours and utilizing and enjoying the Centres spacious outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

- Leadership and Teamwork: Guide and mentor a team of early childhood educators, ensuring the group works collaboratively and supports each other to provide a consistent and high-quality learning experience for children.
- Creative Programming: Design, implement and continually adapt engaging, age-appropriate programs.
- Proactive Communication: Effective communication with team members and families is essential for building trust and collaboration.
- Supporting Challenging Behaviours: Employ inclusive and positive behaviour management strategies, identifying triggers and responding with consistency, positive reinforcement, and tailored activities to help children self-regulate and succeed.
- Ongoing Reflection & Professional Growth: Regularly reflecting on your practice and encouraging your team to do the same ensures continued professional development and high standards.

Our Milestones Early Learning Torquay Centre boasts a dedicated team with job security and growth opportunities, featuring spacious play areas and offers a completely refurbished environment for an exceptional experience.

About you

- Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved equivalentBachelor’s degree
- A current Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
- Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
- A strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of young minds
