Overview

Location: Innisfail, Cassowary Coast Region QLD 4860, Warribarra, Dugulbarra, Mandubarra, Dyirribarra and Bagirbarra Peoples of the Mamu Land

Employment Type: Part Time - minimum 12.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Pay: up to $32.43 per hour + Superannuation + Benefits

Responsibilities

- Delight little customers with big appetites – provide delicious meals and influence the nutritional outcomes of Australian children
- Get 50% discount off your childcare gap fees
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
- Work a part time roster of 23 hours per week (Monday to Friday), no night shifts, no split shifts and no weekend work

About the Centre

This small, 57-place centre excels in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment for children in Toddlers (15 months to 2.5 years), Pre-Kindy (2.5 years to 4 years) and Kindergarten (3.5 years to 5 years). The centre values strong bonds between home and the centre, ensuring holistic child development through tailored care environments and culturally rich interactions.

You’ll need

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
