About the Role

In this role, your skills will make a tangible difference. As a Kitchen Hand/Relief Cook, you will:

- Prepare and serve nutritious, delicious meals that bring comfort and joy to residents.

- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen, ensuring all areas, equipment, and utensils meet food safety and infection control standards.

- Handle basic record-keeping tasks, including tracking meals served, missed meals, and fridge/freezer temperatures.

- Work collaboratively with a supportive team to create a positive mealtime experience.

What we're looking for:

We seek individuals with passion and commitment. You will need:

- A positive attitude and enjoy being part of a dynamic team.

- Reliability to assist with catering services for our elderly residents.

- The ability to handle food preparation, cooking duties, and meal service with care and precision.

- A basic understanding of food handling and hygiene, or eagerness to learn.

- A commitment to cleanliness and safety, maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.

What makes you stand out:

- Experience in a commercial kitchen or aged care industry.

- At least one year's experience as a commercial cook in a hygiene-controlled environment.

- Certificate II in Cookery or willingness to learn.

- Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or ability to obtain.
