About The Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference and support people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home rather than just a shelter.

About The Job

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the refuge accommodation, always taking into consideration health and safety. The role will require individual rooms to be cleaned when women and families move out as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness in communal and staff areas.

To work in line with the organisation’s mission, service goals, values and associated regulations, guidance and legislature.

- Clean, stock and supply designated communal areas.
- Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks, this will include individual rooms when resident ‘s move out.
- Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required.
- Notify management of need to stock and maintain supply rooms.
- Present a professional image of Changing Lives at all times.
- Comply with all legal and health and safety requirements, COSHH and GDPR guidelines.
- Ensure services are delivered to agreed quality standards and good practice protocols.
- Maintain in depth and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant Changing Lives practices, policies and procedures.
