As a Radiology Department Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting radiographers and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and patient‑focused imaging services. You'll help prepare patients for scans, assist during procedures, and ensure our department runs smoothly and safely. We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for helping others. Full training will be provided, so it's a great opportunity to start or develop your career in healthcare. Responsibilities - Support radiographers, sonographers and radiologists in delivering frontline care in a busy imaging department, seven days a week. - Create an efficient, safe and caring environment, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care. - Help patients for scans, assist during procedures and support day‑to‑day department operations. - Observe safety and infection control procedures and provide a patient‑friendly experience. Requirements - GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2) in English and Maths. - Caring, reliable and team‑focused attitude. - NVQ Level 2 in Care or healthcare experience (desirable). - Good understanding of IT is essential. Person Specification - GCSE in math. - Previous radiology or health care support worker experience. - NVQ II or above in health and social care or equivalent.
