Job Description
Share the joy of the outdoors and good company with a nature-loving elderly gent in residential care who treasures reminiscing about his adventures.
This role is perfect for someone who shares a love of nature and appreciates quiet, meaningful moments. Whether it's sitting in the garden, watching birds, chatting about past fishing trips, or simply enjoying the fresh air together, your presence will bring enjoyment, comfort, and connection.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
