We are looking for a Community Partnership Lead to join the Community Wellbeing team to deliver on key health and inclusion priorities through effective stakeholder and volunteer management.

The Community Partnership Lead works closely with the Health and Social Planner, Community Inclusion Officer and Coordinator Community Wellbeing to strengthen partnerships, manage volunteers and contribute to strategic plans that reflect community needs and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder management

- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.

- Facilitate consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, leading to improved service delivery and community outcomes.

- Effective volunteer management

- Lead and coordinate Council's volunteer management portfolio, resulting in increased volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs.

- Contributing to developing and delivering plans

- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Qualifications and Experience

- Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field, with demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development and volunteer management.

- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building

- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and internal teams.

- Project and Program Management

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community wellbeing initiatives.

- Communication and Interpersonal Skills

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

- Knowledge of Community Development and Volunteering

- Strong understanding of community development principles, current trends in volunteering, and experience using relevant management systems and tools.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
