The Role

KBR is currently seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Logistics Officer to ensure that the correct equipment is available and in the required quantity, when and where needed, to support a new and innovative multi-partner collaborative ICT service delivery program.

The primary focus is to provide Distribution, Asset Cataloguing, Spare Inventory Management, non-technical maintenance, and disposal management into a multi-disciplinary Defence program. The SCM Logistics Officers will use Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) and/or Tivoli Asset Management Information Technology (TAMIT) to drive SCM across transition and service delivery phases.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide training on Supply Chain Management tools and technology (e.g., TAMIT, MILIS, LNIDS).
2. Ensure items are fit for purpose, meet power, weight, heat, and size requirements, and pass relevant safety and regulation standards.
3. Coordinate warehousing and transportation of goods with OEM suppliers or existing Defence supply-support facilities and distribution services.
4. Use the Defence Integrated Distribution System (DIDS) to manage supply item distribution.
5. Support transportation of Defence equipment between military operation and exercise areas, including ships/platforms.
6. Arrange safe hand distribution of classified material.
7. Manage packaging according to DEF(AUST) 1000C standards, including waste from packaging.
8. Manage codification and cataloguing of Defence Assets.
9. Maintain Defence asset information within TAMIT and/or MILIS.
10. Assist in 6-monthly reconciliations within the Configuration Management Database.
11. Develop and maintain an asset inventory, ensuring record accuracy within TAMIT and/or MILIS.
12. Approve Asset transfer or procurement requests.
13. Conduct surface maintenance (dusting, vacuuming, charging, etc.).
14. Maintain excellent presentation and communication skills.
15. Manage Scheduled Electrical Integrity Testing (EIT) and tagging of assets.
16. Ensure assets are sanitized prior to reuse or disposal.
17. Oversee disposal process and approve asset disposal.
18. Coordinate asset disposal and update relevant management systems, providing necessary reports and certificates.

What you bring:

- Experience in SCM demonstrating success in ensuring critical hardware, spares, consumables, and materials are available to meet operational objectives.
- Defence-recognized SCM qualifications are highly regarded.
- Experience with SCM tools and technology (e.g., MILIS, TAMIT) is highly regarded.
- Previous experience in Defence Warehousing operations and stock control, with relevant qualifications (essential).
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/planning software.
- Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team, prioritizing tasks and following through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to build trusting and professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, especially under pressure.
- Customer focus and responsiveness to partner needs.
- Experience with Tunnel & Maintenance operations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ASDEFCON and Department of Defence commercial activities is desirable.
