BASQ House in Byron Bay requires a full time experienced Accommodation Manager to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee hotel front desk, reservations and housekeeping departments (rooms division).
- Oversee staff rosters by outlet incl. front office/ host desk and housekeeping.
- Oversee staff time and attendance.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all hotel teams.
- Cover reception and food and beverage shifts as needed. Develop and maintain departmental training manuals.
- Maintain all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) of the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments, ensuring they’re being met during all shifts.
- Remain proficient, and ensure all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the security and well-being of guests and staff.
- Manage third-party contractors/vendors and supplier relationships ensuring par levels of all supplies are maintained.
- Meet, greet, and host hotel VIP’s which may include travel journalists, influencers and others as decided on.
- Handle guest compliments, complaints and service recoveries as needed.
- Support the General Manager with the recruitment, selection, onboarding, orientation, training, and development of all hotel employees.
- Assist the General Manager with becoming the employer of choice in Byron Bay through great team culture, employee satisfaction and a recognition program.
- In conjunction with the hotel’s General Manager, you will implement all required software and hardware identified in the hotel’s technology landscape (such as PMS, POS, time & attendance etc.).
- Foster an authentic and pre-emptive service culture.

Prerequisites
Our ideal candidate should be authentic, confident, and purpose driven - while being humble and nurturing at the same time. Authenticity across all touch-points will be key to the hotel's success.
The ideal candidate is a highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding management skills and hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Experience in opening, managing, or re-positioning a hotel or restaurant with clear track record. Excellent technology skills. At least 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with luxury and international experience ideal.

Salary offered is $75k to $85k
