Food Services Assistant

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Food Services Assistant to join our team at Kennett hostel in Stanwell Park region.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

- Preparation of evening meals as resident’s requests

- Planning for resident’s special requests and dietary needs, as well as likes and dislikes

- Participating and maintaining the HACCP program continually striving for improvement

- Maintain clean and tidy kitchen, including clean-up of spills and hazard prevention

- Report defects or maintenance requirements

- Keep up to date with latest food safety, handling and equipment standards

- Follow required hygiene guidelines as per HACCP

- Willing to complete Food Safety Training as per food safety standards, and to complete Senior First Aid Certificate

- Work as a team member aligned with UPA values and have good communication skills

The successful applicant is required to meet the following criteria:

- Applicants must have current and valid Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa) to be considered for this role.

- Must be willing to undertake pre-employment checks which include but not limited to National Police Check, Reference Checks, Qualification and professional registration verification

- Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy

Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment screening and confirmation of the applicant’s right to work in Australia.
