We are currently seeking a Clinical Midwife for current and future midwifery vacancies in our Wheatbelt Community Midwifery Service in both Moora and Merredin catchment areas within the unique Wheatbelt Region.

This service provides shared antenatal and postnatal midwifery care in collaboration with a woman’s intended birth hospital.

The Moora catchment services a mix of inland and coastal communities including Moora, Jurien Bay, Lancelin, Gingin, and Bindoon, while the Merredin catchment covers Merredin and surrounding towns within the Eastern Wheatbelt.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency and Casual.

Appointments may be made from this pool until 28/02/2026.

About the Opportunity

The Clinical Midwife is responsible for providing a high level of Primary Health Care to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families, and communities with emphasis in the area of antenatal and postnatal care.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A commitment to the application of Primary Health Care Principles and a Community Development approach to practice.
- An ability to work with Aboriginal people and cross-cultural groups.
- An ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-sectoral, and interagency team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Current C Class driver's licence and a willingness to travel via road and/or small aircraft with overnight stays as required.
