What We’re Looking For: This Technical Officer role is based in the Network Maintenance Planning Office and provides support and enablement to the Network Maintenance Delivery team. This position will have the opportunity to learn other roles within Network Maintenance Planning Office in support of contingency arrangements.

This role has primary responsibility for performing scheduling services within Networks Maintenance to ensure the fulfilment of Icon Waters Annual Maintenance Plan.

About this role:

You will be required to support Network planning and be responsible for all scheduling activities out to two weeks as a minimum, create work orders, facilitate workflows and successfully handover activities to Network Maintenance Delivery for execution, in accordance with Icon Water’s Annual Maintenance Plan. You will also be required to:

- Manage the preparation and publishing of the Network Maintenance weekly schedule and shift roster. This includes having full accountability, independence and autonomy for completion of all aspects of the work scheduling position.

- Utilise the works and asset management (WAM), mobile workforce management (MWM) and analytics systems to plan and schedule planned activities to the workforce. Coordinate with stakeholders to release work orders, assign work windows and communicate with customers as required for developer works and meter relocations.

- Control the screening process, prioritise and optimise the schedule to ensure compliance with business key performance indicators. Advise key stakeholders in relation to key program risks and mitigations.

- Analyse month-end delivery performance against forecast plan and report any deviations accordingly

- Schedule (and where required liaise with stakeholders) and include in the works schedule; Plant and fleet allocations, Fleet maintenance appointments, workforce training, and Leave for the Network Maintenance workforce.

- Participate in scheduling meetings and forums, and other administration activities.

- Liaise with key stakeholders, both internal and external (customers and their authorised agents), in relation to scheduling work, efficiently solving problems and to drive an outstanding customer experience.

We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:

- Experience in Work and Resource scheduling and/or planning in the Water and Wastewater Maintenance or other industry.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in works management systems, communication technology, GIS, financial systems and MS Office suite products (or ability to learn).

- Ability to drive, influence stakeholders and diligently deliver challenging projects and / or business operations in accordance with baseline targets.

- Knowledge and commitment to compliance of relevant Workplace Health, Safety and Environment legislation, obligation and requirements.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
