Delivery Substation and Commissioning Manager

About the Role

As the Delivery Substations & Commissioning Manager, you will play a key leadership role within Major Projects, overseeing all substation construction and commissioning activities for Project EnergyConnect. Reporting to the Construction Director – EnergyConnect, you will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and on budget, while meeting the highest technical, environmental, and stakeholder standards. You will lead a diverse team of Project Managers, Site Managers, Commissioning Specialists, Engineers, and field staff, managing complex brownfield and greenfield delivery environments through to energisation and completion. Position can be based in multiple locations including Sydney, Wagga Wagga, Newcastle or Yass.

About You

- Proven track record delivering large, complex infrastructure projects with outstanding safety, quality, and stakeholder outcomes
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across high-risk construction environments
- Sound understanding of HSE legislation, risk management, and industry leading practices
- Highly developed problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering (preferred) and extensive electrical industry experience
- Experience in commissioning of High Voltage Substations
- Ability to lead and inspire a great team, fostering collaboration, support, and accountability.
