The Surgery Position
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a passionate team and share your skills as an experienced vet surgeon. This will be a travelling vet surgeon position offering surgical expertise across our practices in WA.

What we are looking for:

1. BVSc or equivalent, current radiation licence and registration to practice in Western Australia
2. An experienced and confident surgeon with knowledge and practical skills in managing various surgical procedures. Membership in small animal surgery is a huge plus
3. A commitment to provide exceptional patient care
4. Capacity to travel across our clinics in Western Australia
5. Ability to oversee the caseload and work autonomously
6. Exceptional communication and team relationship building skills
7. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues, with the aim to keep referrals in clinic

Surgery cases you will be managing:
All surgical cases that require further assessment will be reviewed by you.

General GP surgeries: Lump removals, Wound repairs, Abdominal surgery, Caesareans, Routine desexing, Bladder stone removal, and other urinary tract procedures, Intestinal foreign body retrieval.

More complex surgeries: Intestinal obstructions, Gastropexy, Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus (Bloat), Entropian surgery, Perineal urethrostomy, Liver lobectomy, Splenectomy, Diaphragmatic hernias, Perineal hernia, BOAS, Axial pattern flaps.

Orthopaedic Surgery Procedures: Cranial Cruciate Ligament Surgery, Medial Patella Luxation, Hip dislocation, Fractures, Femoral Head Excision, Amputations, Joint taps and bone biopsy, Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO).
