ADVERTISING FOR A FEMALE ONLY POSITION: SPECIAL MEASURES

In an attempt to reduce the gender imbalance in MSA’s Strength & Conditioning Team, we are advertising for a female to join our staff. Anti-discrimination laws allow for “positive discrimination” and permit measures to be introduced in pursuit of promoting or creating substantive equality for members of a group with a particular attribute. In our case, the decision to open the applications only for female applicants is with the intention to promote change and reduce the gender imbalance in the Strength & Conditioning Team.

“YOU CAN’T BE WHAT YOU CAN’T SEE”

“Role models and mentors are very important for all student-athletes here at MSA, and it’s important that these include both males and females.
