Thredbo is on the lookout for a highly organised and customer-focused Conference & Events Coordinator to join our year-round team. This role is central to delivering seamless and memorable events across our venues, coordinating all aspects of conferences, groups, and hotel events. You’ll work closely with the Conference, Groups & Events Manager to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events. From client liaison and sales to event setup and administration, you’ll play a key role in creating successful outcomes for our guests and the resort. About the Role
As the Conference & Events Coordinator, you’ll:
- Handle enquiries, quotes, contracts, and client liaison to ensure smooth communication and client satisfaction
- Coordinate event bookings, reservations, and amendments in iVvy and Opera systems
- Issue event orders, floor plans, and accurate documentation to operational departments and clients
- Manage room blocks, catering, venue hire, and all associated requirements in advance of events
- Liaise across departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and resort services
- Support event operations on‑site, including occasional nights and weekends as required
- Assist with maximising revenue across accommodation, catering, and activities
- Maintain accurate records, payment schedules, and departmental reporting
- Support training, team development, and a positive workplace culture aligned with Thredbo’s ELEVATE brand
About You
- Previous experience in conference, events, or hospitality coordination
- Strong customer service skills and client‑focused approach
- Knowledge of F&B operations and event procedures
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in iVvy and Opera event systems (or similar software) highly desirable
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends to deliver exceptional event outcomes
