Senior AWS Engineer

Leading Telco client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Senior AWS Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Telco client on a key migration project.

Responsibilities

- Architect and design AWS cloud foundations to industry and security standards.

- Define and execute cloud technology strategies and strategic roadmaps.

- Create reusable patterns and blueprints for the Cloud Service Catalogue.

- Lead high-visibility transformation projects that are technically broad and deep.

- Conduct application portfolio analysis and feasibility for cloud migrations.

- Develop design, provisioning, and operational procedures for run teams.

- Provide expert consultancy and technical guidance to various project teams.

Key Skills & Experience

- Extensive experience across AWS including design, build and operations.

- Hands-on experience working on large cloud migration projects.

- Deep technical knowledge in Cloud Security best practices.

- Broad experience in networking technologies.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell.

- Excellent communication skills for engaging with executive and technical audiences.

Engagement Details

- 6+ months contract with a leading Telco client

- Hybrid working with office in North Sydney, NSW
