Employment type: Casual

The Worker for Meals Delivery is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of prepared meals to elderly clients. This role supports clients’ nutritional needs, well-being, and independence in their homes. The driver will follow designated routes and schedules, maintain accurate delivery records, and provide friendly and compassionate service to clients.

Responsibilities

- Safely transport and deliver prepared meals to clients within the assigned service area.
- Ensure meals are delivered on time and in good condition, following proper handling and safety procedures.
- Assist clients with receiving meals, ensuring proper handover.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adjust routes as necessary to accommodate new deliveries or schedule changes.
- Provide friendly and respectful interaction with clients during meal deliveries.
- Observe and report any concerns about the client’s wellbeing or living conditions to the office.
- Handle client queries or concerns with professionalism and refer to the appropriate team member if necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including time, date, and client information for each delivery.
- Complete any required paperwork or electronic logs related to deliveries.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and safe at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues or needed repairs to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene standards.
- Follow organisational policies regarding client confidentiality, safety, and transportation regulations.

Who you are

- Experience in food delivery or driving role.
- Satisfactory police check.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with participants from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of the local area and navigation skills.
- Basic organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential client information sensitively.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling.
- Bilingual in Vietnamese and English.
