Job Opportunity: Call/Contact Centre Operator Location: Queanbeyan
Contract Duration: Approximately 4 months (Now until January 2026)
Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm
- 35 hours/week (excluding public holidays)
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join a dynamic contact centre team in Queanbeyan. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a government-related environment, providing high-quality support to the public.
Training & Support
Successful candidates will complete a virtual training program designed to prepare them for the role. Once training is complete, on-site support will be provided by experienced colleagues and managers.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- 2–3 years in customer service (call centre, administration, or retail)
- Previous government experience is a plus but not essential
- Office environment experience preferred
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Intermediate computer proficiency including typing, mouse/monitor use, and strong email etiquette
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Availability
Candidates must be available to work Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
