About the job
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We’re responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this role, you will own the engine that drives user growth and engagement across Google Photos. You will be the architect of the systems and surfaces that deliver the right experience to the right user. You will be building tools, understanding the users and designing the core interventions that guide them through their entire lifecycle with Photos. You will be unlocking new growth channels for users across the business. You will be connecting technical systems to business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define the goal, strategy, and roadmap for the systems and experiences that drive user growth, engagement, and business generation.
- Serve as the product leader and partner for the engineering teams, translating problems into a prioritized backlog.
- Partner with other product teams to understand their needs, build the core capabilities that unlock new growth channels for their user, while ensuring a quality experience for users.
- Own the framework for personalization and experimentation that can be leveraged across the Photos app, with a point of view on what experience is served to which person and how order to maximize user value and business impact.
- Define and analyze key metrics to measure the impact of the work on user acquisition, engagement, and monetization, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
