Within the Department Framework and in accordance with Agency Policy and Procedures the Senior Physiotherapist will, within a defined clinical team and/or other specified areas of the Hospitals:• Provide care collaboratively with the patient/client and carer, and other members of the multidisciplinary team as relevant.• Assist in the coordination of services and service development.• Clinically supervise Level 1-2 Physiotherapists and/or Allied Health Assistants (AHAs), and physiotherapy and/or AHA students, as required.

The Team:

Seeking a senior physiotherapist to provide and maintain optimal physiotherapy care on a Monday across the medical wards and emergency department at the MCH. The inpatient physiotherapy team at MCH is a close-knit group of 8 working across the medical and rehabilitation wards. The MCH isan exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees you closely linked to the whole multidisciplinary team

The Role:

- Work across the medical, COU and emergency wards at MCH providing specialised, senior Physiotherapy care.
- Work closely with other senior physiotherapy staff to ensure excellent handover processes and timely patient flow across the broader THS.
- Managing a diverse caseload including the management of geriatric, orthopaedic, and acute medical conditions.
- Be a resource person to lead complex care and discharge planning.
- Work as part of the greater multidisciplinary team to manage a varied and dynamic caseload.
- Opportunity to provide supervision, education and support for rotating Level 1/2 Physiotherapists and students.
- Facilitate and lead quality improvement projects and service development.

You will need

- High level physiotherapy experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a complex work environment.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 15.2 hours per fortnight, 26 November 2025until 26 November 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:$110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Postgraduate qualifications or working towards this in the identified clinical area
