The opportunity:

We are currently looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our High Voltage Service team at Smithfield, NSW. The focus for this role is to lead the execution of Service Jobs, from a commercial and technical perspective, and ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets.

How you will make an impact:

- You will ensure that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization.

- You will monitor and control service projects, technical, financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow, identify, qualify, quantify, manage risk, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued, capture, analyses and share lessons learned throughout the project.

- You will ensure that the Project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer, ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements.

- You will coordinate with Supplier and successfully procure required materials, services, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers, function as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

- You will ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies, review of equipment drawings and overall documentation pertinent to the project like reports, schedules, transmittals, etc. (including provision of), interact with and support the execution team and factories on overall technical issues, local and oversee travel might be required.

- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

- You hold a bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering.

- Minimum 3 years of experience managing service projects.

- Good knowledge of High Voltage product drawings (primary/schematics) reading and understanding.

- SAP knowledge is an advantage.

- Communicative, Good Inter-personal communication, having ownership and showing leadership capability.
