The Team
The Podiatry Team is based at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), our state’s largest acute centre. We are continuously growing, developing new services and redesigning old ones. It’s an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice and you’ll be working in a nationally accredited high risk foot service. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The team provides outpatient and community outreach services with a focus on high-risk foot conditions and acute foot problems and will be closely linked to the multidisciplinary team. Many of our team have achieved Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines while working with us and we can support you to do the same. We’ll look after you from the very beginning and ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our team and into our culture. The Role
- Deliver a wide range of podiatric assessments and interventions to patients based on best practice and patient centred care for clients referred to the podiatry service.
- Work within podiatry and multidisciplinary teams to deliver podiatry services or programs relevant to local community health centres and outpatient services of the RHH.
- Prescribe and/or fabricate orthotic/offloading devices as appropriate.

Details of appointment
Multiple Permanent full time and part time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary and benefits
Salary: 73,834 to 111,364 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
