We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Corporate Finance Team at Yumbah’s Kent Town head office in Adelaide.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse and growing business, contributing to accurate financial reporting, compliance and process improvements while building strong foundations for a successful career in finance.

About the Role

This role supports the Finance Team in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial processes across the Yumbah Group. It plays a key part in month and year-end reporting, reconciliations and statutory compliance, while also providing insights to guide business decisions. By working closely with colleagues across the team and wider business, the role contributes to strategic initiatives, drives process improvements and enhances the efficiency and reliability of Yumbah’s finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and process month-end entries across profit and loss and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment with expectations.
- Perform key reconciliations, accruals and variance analysis, providing timely insights and commentary on financial results.
- Prepare, analyse and present monthly performance and KPI reports, highlighting areas for action or opportunity.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with statutory reporting, year-end and half-year processes, including supporting documentation and external audit requirements.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives, process enhancements and efficiency gains across finance and administration.
- Support projects and initiatives that advance executive and operational priorities.
- Foster a collaborative, values-led team culture and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactively manage work priorities, pursue professional development and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualified or currently progressing toward completion.
- 2 years’ experience in a financial or assistant accountant role.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge including application of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
