About the opportunity:

- Permanent Role

- Based in North Sydney

As a Sales Finance Analyst, based in our Sydney office and reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales Finance, you’ll engage with both our Sales and Commercial teams to help generate data insights and provide reporting and analysis which drive critical sales and business decisions.

Key responsibilities and experience:

- Develop and maintain relationships with senior sales and business leaders, becoming a trusted partner who can understand the bigger picture and influence decision making

- Collate information from various internal data sources and analyse this data to generate a coherent view

- Own the completion of regular pacing reporting to track business performance to prior year and target

- Adapt existing approaches, or devise new ones, to simplify and speed up reporting as our internal information systems develop

- Manage sales commission calculation and reporting and assist in setting sales targets

- Analyse and report on pricing, occupancy rates, revenue channels.

About you

- Degree in finance, accounting, economics or mathematics looked upon favorably

- 4+ years of experience in sales finance or analysis

- Able to cope with ambiguity and form conclusions based on limited / incomplete data

- Ability to create buy-in and support change

- Planning and organising ability to meet deadlines and reporting requirements.

- Be confident in analysing large datasets, generating insights, and displaying these in a clear and uniform way to stakeholders at all levels of the business

- Attention to detail and ability to analyse, interpret and communicate financial information.

- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly the development of spreadsheets and Power BI

You will also have:

From a day to day perspective, some of your key activities will include:

- Undertake data visualization and reporting using Excel, PowerBI, PPT

- Troubleshoot problems and source effective outcomes

- Assist in the continual improvement of the reporting process for each department

- Assist the Commercial Sales Finance team as required
