Salary: $28.53 - $28.82 per hour + 25% casual loading – Casual (up to 1 April 2026) – WHA2

Bordertown Memorial Hospital is now accepting applications for the Bordertown – Catering & Utility Services Assistant Casual Pool.

The Services Assistant is responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective catering, cleaning and laundry service to the health unit. Duties may include preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, general housekeeping, and laundry tasks.

A Casual Pool works on a continuing basis for 12 months. A selection panel will regularly review and assess applications and keep you informed during the process.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation, service, and delivery of meals, including breakfast, soups, and quick‑serve foods.

- Ensure food is plated and delivered promptly, responding to client dietary requirements with care.

- Perform general cleaning duties, including high window cleaning and carpet shampooing.

- Support laundry tasks such as washing, folding, ironing and delivering clean linen.

- Complete minor sewing repairs and assist with stock recording.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

Checks required:

- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check

- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups (e.g., aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)

Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine‑preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
