Our client is a non-bank lender transforming how financial services are delivered. With large-scale, high-impact programs underway, they're building a best-in-class delivery function—and need a Lead Business Analyst to be a part of their growth.
The Role
As the Lead Business Analyst, you'll be hands-on, strategic, and foundational in building and shaping their BA capability. You'll work closely with delivery leadership to establish frameworks, tools, and practices, while also leading and mentoring a growing team of BAs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting deep into the detail while driving the bigger picture and creating structure in complex environments.
What You'll Do
- Build the Business Analysis function from the ground up—including frameworks, templates, and delivery practices.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Business Analysts across multiple workstreams and projects.
- Work hands-on across strategic programs (e.g., system migrations, lending and servicing platforms, data migration).
- Define and manage business requirements, process mapping, gap analysis, and stakeholder alignment.
- Partner closely with Program Managers, Product, Tech, and third-party vendors to ensure clarity, quality, and delivery.
- Drive consistency in analysis and documentation across the organisation.
About You
- Solid experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst in Financial Services, ideally in non-bank lending or fintech.
- A hands-on leader—equally comfortable doing the work and building the function.
- Proven ability to set up BA frameworks, methodologies, and best practices in fast-paced environments.
- Strong experience across implementation, data migration, and operational change projects.
- Confident working with complex systems, integrations, and third-party vendors.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in loan servicing, payments, or financial product lifecycles.
- Exposure to core system rollouts, regulatory change, or large-scale transformation.
- Experience scaling BA teams in growth-phase businesses.
This is a Sydney-based role, requiring a minimum of 4 days a week in the office. Only Permananent Residents, and Australian Citizens will be considered for this role.
