About the opportunity
- Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.
- Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.
- Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms.
- Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
- Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care
First Aid and CPR Certification
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
NDIS Clearance / Valid police check
Valid work rights in Australia
