Role overview

WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Site Engineer to join the team. We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney/'s Northwest and Southwest, Hunter, and Illawarra regions. This role requires travel to job sites across the area, predominantly in the Southwest region.

Responsibilities

- Utilise your thorough understanding of drawings, specifications and quality, WHS, and environmental requirements for all site-related activities.

- Support the implementation of the project quality, WHS and environmental management plans on all projects.

- Assist with daily project monitoring for toolbox inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.

- Assist with the monitoring and updating of the construction program and site activity.

- Ensure materials are procured in advance of the construction program.

- Assist in monitoring daily work activities to maximise the utilisation of plant and resources.

- Implement improvements for managing site-related costs.

Qualifications and attributes

- A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or working towards

- 1-2+ years previous experience as an Engineer in the civil industry, ideally within residential subdivisions/bulk earthworks

- A current White Card & Drivers Licence

- A strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices

- Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills

- A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to show initiative and take ownership

- Strong communication and organisation skills, including strong attention to detail

- Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve

- Confidence in using technology, including CRM-based applications and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
