HOK is hiring a Project Architect with 7+ years of experience. You'll be based out of their office in Miami, USA. This is an opportunity to lead deliverables, technical coordination, and Construction Phase Services for various project types. HOK is looking for someone with the ability to lead teams and work effectively with other project leaders.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the overall design intent of the project, established by the Project Designer, is incorporated into detailed documentation.
- Monitor the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring design consistency and proper execution.
- Handle technical resolution and coordination for a designated portion of a project.
- Collaborate with the Specification Writer to develop specifications and coordinate drawings and specifications.
- Receive project direction from the Principal in Charge and technical guidance from the RBU Technical Principal.
- Coordinate the use and track shared electronic documentation with the project team, clients, and consultants.
- Assist in planning and executing work, making minor adaptations to complete working drawing sets.
- Attend meetings with municipal building departments and other agencies for approvals or variances.
- Participate in on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings.
- Support the Specification Writer in product research, manufacturer consultations, and material evaluations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent education/experience; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of design experience.
- Licensed Architect with current registration in your region required, if licensure is available regionally.
- NCARB registration preferred.
- LEED accreditation or Green Associate certification preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, sustainability, integrated design, LEED guidelines, QA/QC processes, building codes, and construction administration.
- Proficiency in Revit required; AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Affinity suite skills preferred.
