Senior OT Specialist – Mining & Fleet Systems

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior OT Specialist to support and deliver critical operational technology solutions across major mining operations.

In this hands‑on, customer‑focused role, you will play a key part in delivering, supporting, and optimising a cutting‑edge Operating System (EOS) technology platform used in mining fleet and operational environments. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong service delivery and project coordination skills to ensure reliable, high‑availability OT systems across both hardware and cloud‑based infrastructure.

This role covers the full OT stack — from field hardware and fleet systems through to cloud infrastructure and remote support — and offers the opportunity to work directly with customers on live operational systems.

What You’ll Do

Customer Support & Service Delivery

- Provide primary remote technical support to EOS customers, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across fleet management and OT systems

- Coordinate and deliver on‑site customer visits for system installations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, regular system health checks, and rapid issue resolution, working closely with OT Project Managers

- Manage incoming support requests, ensuring timely response, prioritisation, and resolution

- Coordinate support activities across internal teams and third‑party providers as required

- Oversee hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades across customer fleet assets

- Maintain detailed technical documentation including hardware configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best‑practice guides

- Support field testing and validation of new hardware components and emerging technology solutions

Cloud Infrastructure & System Management

- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud‑hosted EOS infrastructure

- Manage planned and unplanned outages, implementing rapid response and recovery protocols to minimise customer downtime

- Coordinate with cloud service providers and internal engineering teams to resolve infrastructure issues and deliver system improvements

- Conduct regular system health checks, capacity planning, and preventative maintenance

- Support cloud upgrades, patching, and deployments in collaboration with development teams

Technical Project Leadership

- Support OT Project Managers by contributing technical expertise across customer implementation projects, from deployment through go‑live

- Coordinate cross‑functional activities spanning hardware installation, software configuration, and system integration

- Support new customer onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operational support

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related discipline) or equivalent technical experience

- Strong experience in Operational Technology, fleet systems, IoT, or telematics environments

- Solid understanding of industrial hardware, networking, and cloud platforms

- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality technical support and manage service levels

- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer‑service mindset

- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across technical and operational teams

Desirable Experience

- Background in mining, construction, or heavy equipment environments

- Exposure to OEM systems such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, or Hitachi

- Experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, or field‑based testing and validation
