The talent of our teams and their passion for providing an experience which inspires and enhances our customers’ leisure time drives our culture of innovation and opportunity.
About the Role
Ready to lead with impact? We have a standout opportunity for a Distribution Centre Manager who values safety, efficiency, and people-focused leadership. Reporting to the Head of DC Operations, you’ll oversee all aspects of the operations in our Brendale Distribution Centre (DC) — from safety and infrastructure to budgets and team development — driving performance through strong leadership and practical expertise.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the Distribution Centre with a strong focus on safety and employee well-being, ensuring compliance with all site safety protocols and fostering a safe, supportive environment.
- Planning and executing for all improvement measures, including operational delivery, efficiency and brand/product operating requirements.
- Ensuring profitability of the operation, applying sound budgeting principles to an annual budget and controlling operating expenses and productivity to strike the balance of cost/service.
- Developing the team capability across DC Operations, which includes Managers, Shift Managers, and Team Managers and ensuring clear leadership for the team on training and development planning and execution.
About You
We are looking for a leader who prioritises safety and the people who make our DC run efficiently. You are someone with the expertise to hit the ground running and lead the operation forward. You combine operational knowledge with a deep understanding of what drives individuals and teams to succeed.
In addition, you have:
- Experience in leading Warehouses and/or Distribution Centres, or within senior site leadership roles looking for a DC leadership opportunity, preferably with experience in Retail, FMCG or multi-brand warehousing.
- Expert Safety Leadership, including all PCBU requirements for site safety governance.
- Experience in leading large teams (50+) including management of senior manager roles (DC Operations Manager / Team Manager level).
- KPI management skills, ensuring key metrics are met while maintaining the well-being of your people.
- Knowledge on implementing Continuous Improvement programs or methodologies, including delivery of CI programs through teams/direct reports.
- Experience in commercial management (operational) including Budget build (annual cycle) and active management of cost and productivity measures for a DC.
- Experience in building high performing and engaged teams, up to Leadership levels.
Why join us?
- You’ll get to join for an organisation with a culture that is driven by innovation and creating awesome experiences for our customers and teams, and will get to work alongside a diverse team across Super Retail Group that is representative of the communities we work in.
- Super Retail Group is a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation holder.
- We are committed to your professional development and will support on-going opportunities for both learning and progression.
- You will get access to generous discounts across all Super Retail Group brands, as well as access to our Perks Programme, including discounts on Health and Wellbeing, Entertainment, Travel and Accommodation and more.
Our Culture of Inclusion
