Responsibilities

- Work on simple projects or sections of projects; working towards assuming responsibility for sections of projects
- Use standard engineering techniques for the purpose of solving problems
- Assist senior engineers with analysis of information, production of designs and calculations
- Prepare calculations and analysis of building structures
- Assist with preparation of specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation under close supervision
- Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects and services engineers on design issues under supervision of a senior engineer

Qualifications

- Graduate membership with Engineers Australia
- Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
- 0-3 years of structural engineering experience
- Ability to apply theoretical knowledge of engineering principles to practical situations through analysis and interpretation
- Problem solving/analytical skills
