Azure Data Engineer - Databricks

Permanent Hybrid (Sydney-based) Up to $160K + Super

We're looking for a skilled and driven Azure Data Engineer to join our growing team in a permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale environments and enjoys building robust data solutions that power real business outcomes.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Services and Databricks
- Write clean, efficient code in Python and SQL to support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Optimise performance and cost across cloud-based data platforms
- Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for enterprise-grade data systems

What You Bring

- Proven experience working in large-scale data environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure, Databricks, Python, and SQL
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-native development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a hybrid team setting
