Join us in making a difference The Role: We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the team at Wearne House in Mandurah. Please note that this is a Casual Position. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and assist fellow OTA staff to conduct resident activities and outings correctly and safely - Ensure records, statistics and progress notes are completed as required by the Occupational Therapist - Assist with mobilising and transferring residents – moving from place to place and position to position - Meet residents’ personal care needs, safety and comfort, whilst driving satisfactory completion of planned programs About You: As an Occupational Therapy Assistant you will plan and organise staff to carry out therapeutic activities under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist, Manager and or Registered Nurse. Qualifications: - Certificate III or IV in Occupational Therapy Assistant - Current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principals and practices - Ability to relate to older people with empathy and understanding - Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills - Proven success working collaboratively in a team environment - Demonstrated skills prioritising workload and managing time effectively - Valid Police Clearance less than 6 months old (or ability to obtain at interview stage) - NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain at interview stage) - Successful completion of pre employment medical and reference checks - Evidence of Flu (2024) and COVID vaccinations (including Booster if eligible) - Availability to attend a paid 2-day induction (Monday – Friday) at our Rivervale Training Institute How to Apply: If you are interested in this role and meet the essential criteria, please click the "apply now" button.
