Becoming a Tradesman in the Electrical field is a well regarded, challenging and rewarding pathway.

Working closely with the Frontline Electrical and their dedicated team, the successful applicant will be undertaking a range of duties including residential installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment, caballing and wiring, and diagnosing & repairing electrical malfunctions.

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

- You would be employed by Work & Training - the largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.

- You would be part of a committed team, under guidance of the Business owner.

- Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE.

- Your Work & Training Field Officer provides ongoing mentoring and employment support.

On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820).

Do you have:

- Motivation and a genuine interest in the industry?

- High level communication, customer service and organisational skills?

- The ability to work in a team environment and follow complex instructions?

- A positive attitude and self-motivation to learn on-the-job, as an apprentice?

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with hand tools?

Essential criteria:

- Current drivers licence and reliable transport to get to and from work

- White Card and Working with Vulnerable People (or ability to gain one).

- Knowledge of safe working practices and WHS requirements.

Wage:

National Apprenticeship Award Wage.

A pre-vocational course in Electrotechnology is highly desired and the successful applicant must undertake a pre-employment medical, including vision and drug & alcohol testing, as a requirement of this position.
