The Project Officer is responsible for contributing to thedevelopment and delivery of projects and initiatives that meet thestrategic and business needs of the Electoral Commission SA (ECSA)for the 2026 state, First Nations Voice to Parliament and localcouncil elections.
The Project Officer will support and coordinate project researchactivities, stakeholder consultation, project planning and design,project delivery and closure while monitoring and reporting onproject status to comply with governance arrangements for projectsacross ECSA, including but not limited to facilities management,transport and logistics, central processing, call centre,warehousing and voting services.
Reporting to a Senior Project Officer or Function Manager, keyresponsibilities include:
- Efficient and comprehensive day-to-day coordination ofproject activities to contribute to the delivery of projectoutcomes.
- Contributing to the research and analysis of information onmatters pertaining to assigned projects, particularly projectswhere there are no established processes or documentation.
- Supporting the preparation and development of projectplans, briefing papers, project documentation, projectevaluations and closure reports, as well as report on projectprogression.
- Contributing to the identification, assessment andmanagement of project risks in accordance with ECSA'srisk management framework.
- Contributing to timely reporting on projects, emergingissues and risks.
- Monitoring and raising awareness of trends, issues andopportunities to meet current and future project needs.
Special Conditions
- This role is offered temporary term basis up to 18 December2026.
- In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of theCommission, no person who is active in political affairs orintends to carry on this activity may be an employee.
- Employment is dependent upon a criminal history check thatthe Commission finds satisfactory.
- Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be requiredduring the period of an election.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Remuneration
- ASO5 – $85,790 to $95,413 per annum.
