MacKillop Family Services is looking for passionate individuals to join our Out of Home Care team, supporting children and young people with complex needs in a safe, therapeutic residential setting. As a Residential Youth Care Worker, you’ll help create a warm home environment, respond to emotional and daily needs, and support young people to build life skills and confidence.

This is a fulltime/ parttime /casual opportunity based throughout our Wimmera Southwest region within our Out of Home Care Program. This position reports to the Regional Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or if you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification you’re also encouraged to apply.
- A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
- Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
- Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
