About the role
As a Parks and Wildlife Services (PWS) Ranger based on Tasmania’s West Coast, and working between Strahan and Queenstown Field Centres you’ll be responsible for:
- Planning and implementing minor development works, maintenance, operational and monitoring tasks.
- Coordinating and providing instruction to employees and volunteers engaged in minor project work.
- Preparing environmental assessments and monitoring programs.
- Providing information, advice and assistance to visitors and community members.
Undertake Field Centre operation plans, works programs and projects supporting conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.
Hours
Hours per fortnight: 76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent qualifications.
- Certified Coxswain Grade 2 (near coastal), or the ability to gain the certificate.
