Overview e.g. "Service Desk Analyst Homebush West" About the role Based at our Silverwater Corporate Office and reporting to the Cyber Security Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Harvey Norman’s global cybersecurity strategy. You’ll collaborate with the Cyber Security team across project engagements, offering strategic oversight, technical design input, and assurance to drive secure outcomes. Additionally, you’ll contribute to maintaining and improving our technical security posture through ongoing assurance activities, while actively supporting Security Operations functions including Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management. You will; - Act as a key representative of the Cyber Security function, collaborating across business units to embed security into processes, projects, and decision-making. - Conduct third-party risk assessments in line with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices when onboarding new vendors or partners. - Act as the primary administrator of security assurance platforms, ensuring they are effectively maintained, configured, and utilized to support visibility into technical risk and compliance. - Track and report on information security controls and their effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements. - Stay up to date with emerging threats, trends, and events that may impact the organisation’s risk posture - Collaborate with vendors and internal technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security platforms. - Assist in the development and maintenance of security platform documentation to support ongoing operations. - Support the enforcement and awareness of security policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation. - Support the Security Operations, Data Governance, and Risk & Compliance teams as needed About you You have proven experience in Cyber Security, Infrastructure, or Software Development within complex enterprise environments, and the agility to expand your capabilities across broader IT operations. You’re self-driven, able to work autonomously, and take ownership of tasks and initiatives. Your strength lies in building and maintaining effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling you to drive meaningful security outcomes across the business. Qualifications - Proven experience working with security tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Vulnerability Management platforms, and Asset and Ticketing Management systems - Strong understanding of security design principles, with the ability to review high-level architecture diagrams and interpret network and data flows. - Familiarity with industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OWASP, and others. - Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to lead meetings, identify actionable items, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely follow-through. - Effective communicator, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive security outcomes. Desirable - Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. - Hands-on experience with Continuous Threat Validation tools and methodologies to proactively assess and strengthen security posture.
